Just
for the record, I flew the PVP flag at this race on 20th Oct. which was in
memory of Stuart Learmouth, a stalwart Wirksworth runner who passed away fairly
recently.
13.5km and with only 384m of climb it was, as the name suggests, undulating apart from the short steep start. However, plenty of time to chat and recover while queueing to pass between bushes that narrowed the path.
Most of the course was on good tracks and more tarmac than I prefer and so inevitably was quite fast.
Misty conditions spoilt the views somewhat but most runners were smiling having allowed a few minutes for the post race grimaces to disappear.
No cakes to be had though. Must remember to take my own if go next year.
