The next Plodders Away day is scheduled for Wednesday 4th June, where
there will be the exciting option of taking part in a Fell Race or just
coming for a regular away day plod.
The Calver Peak Fell Race
will take place at 7:30, starting from The Derwent**ter Arms Car Park in
Calver Village. It is 5 miles with 900 feet climbing and is only £4 to
enter on the day for those interested.
The
alternative to doing the fell race will be to come along for a normal
away day plod and I'll be leading a group at a steady/slowish pace. It is just over 7.5 miles and will take in the delights
of White Edge, Froggatt/Curbar & Baslow Edges. The meeting point
will be at the Curbar Gap Car Park, which is on Clodhall Lane between
Curbar village and the A621 (GR 262748) at 7pm. This is a pay and display car park (£2.60).
Post plod/race drinks will be in The Grouse PH in Longshaw on the A625. Food is available in the Pub until 9pm.
